Committed to the principles of the National Training Framework (NTF), Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF), and the Defence Training Model (DTM), the ACTS team is responsive to our clients' needs by providing expertise throughout the training services continuum.
If you are specifying a training system to support your operational capability, ACTS provides specialist training concept developers and specification writers. Our people have significant knowledge and experience of both Defence and civil aerospace training requirements, covering Australian and International regulations and latest practices. ACTS can connect your project to the industry networks who can deliver the required capability.
Are you a training organisation? ACTS can help you shape your training programmes based on the competency and capability requirements for your operation. From developing new systems to updating old, checking fidelity and ensuring changes to compliance requirements are incorporated, we can provide support at any point in the quality training cycle, from analysis to delivery and evaluation. We will work with the OEMs, training equipment and technology providers, and regulatory authorities to ensure you get exactly what you need when you need it.
If you are a Training Services Integrator, or a training equipment and/or services provider - ACTS can help you decipher the customer needs including style, overlap, or regulatory compliance issues to assist in tailoring your products and services to meet the customer needs. We provide additional capacity to your training teams for development, start-up or surge requirements, helping you guarantee that the training products and services you deliver will be appropriate, achievable and sustainable.
Based on the cycle of continuous improvement in training systems, here are some of our training services:
-
Concept Development: Determining the optimum training concept is a critical step in the training development cycle. ACTS works with you to shape the overall training concept: in-house, outsourced, leveraged or tailored. We help you develop the business cases for programme funding approvals.
-
Training Needs Analysis: ACTS can provide a range of analysis capabilities from simple to complex to support the identification and subsequent acquisition or development of suitable training. Our customised approach to each training task reflecting subject complexity, instructor/student capabilities, your training concept, location and facilities ensures the training needs extracted will reflect your organisation's context. From task analysis and competency mapping to media selection, and fidelity/certification requirements, ACTS will help you determine the training system needs.
-
Training System Design: Your training system needs to meet your operational requirements while meeting compliance obligations in a cost effective and efficient manner. From assessment and fidelity criteria to media and delivery technology selection, ACTS will find or develop the best fit training solutions to meet you needs.
-
Courseware Design and Development: Whether E-Learning or facility based, real world or synthetic, we can design and deliver courseware materials with a focus on fidelity management in delivery and through the life of your training system.
-
Documentation: We recognise the importance of documentation to achieving AQTF and DTM training quality standards. Your training will need to be documented and managed - course management information, instructor, student and assessment materials; and reporting mechanisms may need a document suite to support your compliance requirements. Our training and technical document development capability will support either paper-based or e-learning systems.
-
Delivery: Our staff and affiliate network represent some of Australian aerospace's most experienced and capable instructors, including technical/engineering and aircrew instructors. We can provide classroom facilitators, simulator and aircrew instructors, assessors and auditors. All of our instructors have significant military and/or civil experience, hold current training qualifications and maintain current professional knowledge at a level appropriate to the task assigned.
-
Evaluation: Robust internal evaluation supplemented with customer and student feedback. Not only is this process the cornerstone of a comprehensive training system, it is mandatory under AQTF and DTM standards. ACTS incorporates evaluation of all products we develop prior to final acceptance, including running pilot courses and trial programmes to ensure quality, fit and suitability of the system. ACTS can also provide comprehensive analysis of your existing programmes to determine if your training systems are meeting the required standards or your training objectives.
-
Synthetic Training Systems: We have expertise in the specification, development and testing (accreditation) of synthetic training devices. We understand that simulators and part task trainers are just one element of the training solution; however they can be a key driver of training costs. Our focus matches the latest regulatory intent - that is to align synthetic training systems with achievable training outcomes. By developing accreditation strategies tailored to your required training outcomes, over specification and nugatory development are avoided and training transfer is maximised, and the cost of training can be reduced accordingly.
